Have Your Next Business Meeting on a Walk

Austin has an average of 300 sunny days each year, and many local business leaders take advantage of this through outdoor meetings. You may find it surprising, but meetings on-the-go promote creativity, foster productivity, and help to avoid distractions. They help to increase the blood flow throughout your body which stimulates the brain and allows you to think more outside of the box.

Learn from Steve Jobs!

One strong believer in walking and talking was Steve Jobs, who preferred to take a long walk when having serious conversations. Whether it is a quick five-minute walk around the building or a long stroll through a nearby park, walking allows us to leave behind the distractions of the office and the LED screen of our smartphones. Additionally, walking can make you up to 81% more creative! Luckily, Austin has a variety of walking routes to offer, including the Lady Bird Lake Hike and Bike Trail, Mayfield Park, the Barton Creek Greenbelt, or just simply around office buildings downtown. Next time you are going into a meeting not feeling very energized... try out this technique! You could be the next Steve Jobs.
