1) Thank your customers.
A simple thank you can go a long way. This can be done in the form of a branded thank you card, or even a small gift as a token of your appreciation. This will show your customers how much you value doing business with them and keep 'em coming back!
2) Ask for testimonials.
Websites like Google and Yelp make it easy for people to go in and write reviews. You can send your clients the links to do this, and politely ask if they will share their experiences with your company for prospects to see. Also, you can add a testimonials tab on your website to give others a taste of what it's like doing business with you!
3) Keep a list of creative ideas.
Our memory isn't always as great as we think it is. When a brilliant idea pops in your head, or you see something you like when we are out and about, document it! It can be as easy as keeping a note on your smart phone, or writing it on the back of a grocery store receipt.
4) Get and use business cards.
We know this sounds cliche, but often times people buy business cards for themselves and forget to bring them to various networking events. Also, it's important to keep track of the business cards you collect and make sure to add them to your contact list ASAP!
5) Read popular business books for inspiration.
In the business world, we can all gain some sort of knowledge simply from each other's experiences. If you feel like you've hit a block in the road, find one of the many business books out there to get you back on track!
